Assembly guide
Your R9 arrives about 85% assembled. Budget 30 minutes and grab a second pair of hands for the fork.
- 01
Unbox on the crate lid
Cut the straps and lift the bike out with two people. Keep the foam — you need it if you ever return the bike.
- 02
Fit the front wheel
Slide the axle through the fork dropouts, tighten to 30 N·m, then check the disc spins clear of the caliper.
- 03
Straighten and bolt the handlebar
Align the stem with the front wheel, then tighten the four faceplate bolts evenly in a cross pattern.
- 04
Attach pedals
The left pedal is reverse-threaded. Start both by hand before touching a wrench.
- 05
Mount fenders and headlight
Both use the included screw kit. The headlight plugs into the connector behind the head tube.
- 06
Charge both packs before the first ride
Give each battery a complete 5–6 hour charge. Then check tire pressure at 20–30 PSI and test the brakes at walking pace.
